Questions

Do I need my exact birth time?
For the rising sign and house placements, yes. The rising sign moves about one degree every four minutes, so an hour of error shifts it a whole sign. Without a reliable time, the planets by sign are still correct, but treat the houses and rising sign as unreliable rather than approximate.
Are my birth details sent anywhere?
No. The chart is calculated in your browser. Your date, time and birthplace are never transmitted to this site or to anyone else, and nothing is stored — reloading the page starts over.
What if my birthplace is not in the list?
The city list covers settlements above roughly 15,000 people. If yours is missing you can enter coordinates and a timezone directly, and they are used exactly as given. We do not quietly substitute the nearest larger town, because twenty kilometres is enough to change your rising sign.
Which house system is used?
Placidus, the most widely used system in modern Western astrology. Above the polar circle Placidus has no mathematical solution, so whole-sign houses are used instead and the chart says so.
