Transiting Saturn conjunct your Ascendant

What the sources say

Your Ascendant marks the first house of your chart, and in 1906 Alan Leo gave Saturn's passage through it two readings, set by the character shown at birth. Where desponding tendencies already exist, Leo held, it produces depressing influences; in a chart of what Leo called “the progressive order”, it brings responsibilities and a patient and careful frame of mind, producing caution, reserve and tactfulness.

About this page

The reading above was written against the works cited beside it and checked against the passages it was drawn from. Anything below it is interpretation and context rather than a claim about what a source says.

Astrology is a tradition of interpretation, not a body of established fact. A transit or a solar return describes a tendency the tradition reads into a period; it predicts nothing.
